On driven piling rigs without instrumentation, the banksman is required to measure the set manually towards the end of driving on each pile. This means being in close proximity to the pile and pile driving hammer whilst it is in operation - potentially, a very hazardous area.

In addition to displays of real time depth, driving resistance and driving stresses, our PL3000 Driven instrumentation systems automatically measure and record the drop height and pile set for each and every blow as the pile is driven. This allows personnel to stay well clear of the pile and rig as the pile is driven.
