We were delighted to supply JRL Civil Engineering Ltd with CFA / SFA instrumentation systems for two new Hutte HBR207 rigs.
Pictured below is Quinn Piling's Mait HR420 commencing a new rotary bored piling contract near Bridgwater, Somerset.
The operator will be using NDT's Rotary Bored software to monitor the installation of the piles. Our Rotary Bored system provides real-time operator feedback of key installation parameters. These include auger depth, casing depth, auger revolutions, drill pressure / auger torque. The system also enables the operator to record strata details and water strikes observed during the boring phase. As is the case with every NDT instrumentation solution, the Rotary Bored package utilises our unique NDTDataCloud online data portal which allows authorised personnel to monitor their contracts from any device with a browser, and from any global location. We were delighted to work alongside Keller at a recent grout compaction contract for HS2.
Using a bespoke version of our Soil Mixing instrumentation package which had been modified specifically for this project, Keller was able to maintain stringent control of the installation of several thousand grout compacted boreholes. All of the rigs were connected to our NDTDataCloud portal. This allowed Keller staff to view the ongoing progress of the contract on a near real-time basis, with no requirement for any engineer to visit the site. Pictured below is Green Piling's latest fleet addition - the UK's first Soilmec SR35, equipped with NDT CFA instrumentation.
NDT instrumentation was installed recently on the latest rig to join Sheppard Piling's fleet - a Comacchio CH-300.
The installation continues NDT's role as instrumentation solutions provider to Barry and his team at Sheppard Piling. We were delighted to supply CFA & Soil Mixing instrumentation for Keller's new Soilmec SF-55, the first rig of its kind worldwide. https://www.keller.co.uk/news/world-first-kellers-cfa-fleet Picture above courtesy of Keller UK.

NDT was delighted to have supplied Pat Deighan (PDSS Ltd) with CFA instrumentation for this TD45 from Technodrill.

Our Rotary Bored instrumentation system is being very well received by the piling industry.
The system uses standard NDT computer, data acquisition units and sensors. On multi-purpose rigs, the same system can be utilised for CFA, Soil Mixing, Rotary Bored, etc. This makes for a very versatile, economic and convenient addition to any rig. The system provides the operator with a clear display showing:
As with all NDT instrumentation modules, the RBP system is fully 'Cloud' compatible which enables customers to access near real-time data, from any device with a web-browser and from any worldwide location. Further details of ourRotary Bored instrumentation are available upon request, Piling is well underway at Footscray Road for the West Gate Tunnel project in Melbourne.
Keller is using 3 of its Junttan PM25 driven piling rigs to install approximately 4,500 precast piles, each to a maximum of 30m depth. Each rig is equipped with NDT instrumentation which provides the operator with real-time monitoring of pile depth, penetration rate, hammer blow count, hammer drop height, pile set, driving resistance and pile stresses. As well as providing this vital information during the piling process, the on-board instrumentation means a 'Safety First' exclusion zone can be maintained around the rig whilst pile driving is taking place. Keller staff can use any device with a web-browser to monitor the piling works in near real-time from any global location using NDT's groundbreaking 'NDTDataCloud' application. We recently installed CFA / SFA instrumentation to a Klemm KR709-3G, operated by Murphy Ground Engineering.
The NDT monitor was fitted to a swivelling / articulating arm which also houses the primary rig controls. This provides ultimate convenience and allows operators to view and control the instrumentation from the angle which best suits their requirements. If your requirements do not extend to a full instrumentation system, we can supply basic monitoring systems for your mini-rigs and similar plant.
Pictured below is a data logger fitted to a Klemm 709. The system has been configured to display hydraulic pressure, concrete injection pressure and mast inclination (dual-axis). The logger can be configured for a wide range of sensor types and is suitable for any application where operators need to monitor parameters for which there is no pre-existing display on the rig. Measured data are stored upon the unit and can be retrieved via the USB port on the front of the unit. Please contact us for further details on the unit and the available options. |
